We prepped and packaged 8 days of food, then put half in our backpacks and half in a shipping box. We might eat better on the trail than off! Some of the highlights: - A full Thanksgiving dinner - @saltstick Fast Chews - Dehydrated persimmons! - Freeze dried candy - Recipes from our book! Teaching Luca to Backpack Part 3: Meal Prep! Packing canned food for the trail? Not on our watch! Luca is an experienced car camper and day hiker, but he’s never done a multi-night backpacking trip. Our goal is to teach him how to have fun out there and make sure this is the first of many more trips together! Still to come: Shoes, tent, route, dehydrating food, and ultimately the trip! #backpacking #mealprep #planning #beginner #musicbyikson

Pre-order now! We've spent the last year writing a backpacking guide and recipe book and we're SOOO excited to finally share it! We cover preparation, life on the trail, and of course -- recipes! Our goal with this book is to share what we've learned after spending so much time outside about how to make trips more enjoyable. We hope you enjoy it!!! #backpacking #book #camping #hiking
