Maine voters offer real hope for democracy — and it's got nothing to do with Graham Platner

Voters in D.C. this primary season will choose candidates for mayor, delegate to Congress, attorney general and several new Council members in what’s sure to be one of the District’s most consequential local elections in recent history.

A resolution expressing support for ranked choice voting in municipal elections in Wisconsin was rejected May 6 by the Appleton Common Council. The vote was 6 to 9. "I don't recall hearing from any constituent asking for this," council member Chris Croatt said

Ranked choice is used in races for governor, the state Legislature and federal offices during the primary, but only in federal races during the general election.
