Guitar Center has a snare I want . (They actually have two of the same model and color, one is $25 cheaper.) If I have it shipped to me, the shipping charge is cheap. If I want to return it, do I pay return shipping? I could have it shipped to a relatively close Guitar Center. Do I pay for...
My wife has been playing Bass for a short while and was interested in purchasing a guitar from GC. How does some one approach them about negotiations on a used item. Ask for manager or can any sales person negotiate? Has anyone had success ât this, or has anyone gotten a reduced price for a...
So I saw a used Mapex Meridian BOP kit that was very attractively priced on Guitar Centers website. It was located in a Mass. store, so since I just happened to be in town, I go into my local GC to make the purchase. Here's the confusing part, shipped to the store, the GC guy says shipping will...
Not a huge fan of corporate anything, but have been going to various GC's for 40+ years. Maybe 10 years ago they opened in Gilroy, about 40 min from me. The next nearest is Santa Clara, about 1:10 away, so that was nice. But this one was a tad bigger than a gas station store, with 70% being...
What makes a cymbal top of the line is if that particular cymbal sounds good. Guitar Center’s inventory is stale. The only cymbals that are left are the ones nobody wants, and that includes all brands and lines within the brands. I've bought used from GC online more than a hand full of times. All good results, less one cracked splash cymbal. I called the store and spoke with the manager, instant refund and kept the cymbal, it's hanging on the wall in my garage. If I were to buy a whole kit I think I would do as you, have it shipped to a local store for pick-up. I have shopped whole kits/shell packs, but usually only ...
I recently listened to Bart’s latest Drum History podcast covering Orange County Drums. As always Bart does a great job getting the guest(s) together to discuss the history of a drum company or various innovation. For me it was somewhat of a new topic since I must admit that I never gave OCDP...
I had a 10-13-18 SPL "Street Bop" kit (Guitar Center brand ) that was actually a pretty darn good kit. The kick was a real standout. Had some real "oomph". Nice susp mount, nice wood bass hoops, good bass claws and legs, poplar shells. Sold 'em of course, sold 'em too cheap. View attachment 651596 Click to expand...
If you are looking for decent mic's on the cheap, just buy regular SM 57's from guitar center. Get at least two, so you know if one goes bad or sucks to begin with.
The 1981 tour Steve used 16x22” Gretsch bass drums. For the frontiers tour, he changed to a sunburst color, the Gretsch kick drums and the power Tom’s as well the 18 x 24 bass drums that came with the kit originally. The owner of the Creative Drum Shop where the kit was sold told me that Steve did not like the deep 24 inch bass drums that came with the signature kit. Feb 6, 2025 #18 S
